It's a good portrait, no matter if luck played a role. (Reminiscent of some 16th/17th century Dutch paintings in case you weren't aware.) I had a quick look at your other folders and seems like you're experimenting with everything. Keep at it.

I always thought this was refered to as 'Rembrandt' lighting. The fact that you did this in such a dificult environment is quite amazing.
