Pierre, Marco  - Thank you for your kind words. This grasshopper is very rare and almost distinct, psophus stridulus - "fire grasshopper”- the name comes from the fact that the sound it produces is like burning dry thin paper. This species can be found from very few areas in Finland, which made me think that it should receive some special attention when preparing this photo. So, the PP was made to remind us that despite Nature’s perfect design and looks it is not going to be around very long.(please, look also Insects and small animals folder).
