Looking to infinity.Good shot of the never ending prairie with that big contrasting sky. This old house looks pretty lonely in the wide open space;one can just imagine what its long gone occupants must have felt in this environment.Good scene...Bravo!

Salutations-Laurent

Only the aureole around the house has no neither aesthetic nor  other justification! I've seen many pictures have that lately, probably wrong done HDR! However, I would remove it!

Best regards Ross!

Hi Jesse -Thanks for your comments & I must admit I do lean towards sharp images & I know next to nothing about HDR. Regards_Ross

Hi Laurent- Nice to hear from you again, always impressed with your thoughtful comments.. This image was taken in the southern part of Saskatchewan along the most southern road.It is not like the perfectly flat prairies but a softly rolling landscape,a really beautiful area. It is also kind of sad & depressing to see the ever present circle of trees that previously surrounded the homes as a protection from the strong winds. The trees are still there but the homes are long gone. The farms are now owned by large landowners or companies.. Regards-Ross

Hi Pierre- Nice to hear from you & your comments. With regards to the aureole, I tried to eliminate it by reducing the saturation level which did not correct the problem. Was hoping some kind soul would comment on how to remove it. This is not a HDR image. Regards-Ross

Here comes the good soul Ross!

Select the house only, precisely with polygonal lasso tool and then clone from the same level sky to the selected area! It took me one minute to do it!

Best regards!

A very simple yet elegant composition, made so in part by the position of the house and the horizon and the very effective complementarity between the oranges and the blues (Also, thanks to Pierre for his PS expertise). Thanks for showing it.
