Several stops from the world's longest escalator, a lone rider

surfaces at street level from one of Kyiv, Ukraine's mostly older, but

extremely efficient, deep, and well-run Metros, modeled down to copies

of some train stations and coach design from the world famous Moscow

Metro. Your ratings, critiques and observations are invited and most

welcome. If you rate harshly, very critically, or wish to make a

remark, please submit a helpful and constructive comment; please share

your photographic knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks!

Enjoy! john

Thank you for the comment.

I feel this one is misunderstood by most.

Perhaps I should have submitted as 'fine art?'

I appreciate the feedback.

How many times have you 'seen' but not 'seen' this same scene?

Hint: The center escalator was being used; the side escalators don't allow this view and the center escalator almost never is used; it's mostly saved for emergencies and repairs, which explains why I could suddenly reach the top and say to myself as I did just this once, at  the Kreshatyk exit 'Aha' and fumble with my camera just in time to take this.

I thought of retaking it, but know the chances of getting the same escaltor are very slim.

(It also works well as black and white.)

Thanks for the comment.
