Well I was torn for the category, Portrait of Astrophotography. Venus

and Jupiter have not been this close together in 24 years. I got

better shots of the pair, this one was of me being there and the pair

made a nice back drop with the bokeh of the SIgma 50mm f/1.4 using my

Canon 7D.

 

I had to improvise for some flash-less fill light, it was pretty dark

and I didn't want to push the ISO or use the flash. So using my iPhone

screen for a little light on my face worked nicely.

 

I just wanted to share this great evening of stargazing and

conjunction of Venus and Jupiter with my friends at Photo.net.

Thanks, Mike. It was fun shooting them. The weather is unseasonally warm here in Southeastern Pennsylvania, I was wearing a short sleeved shirt.
