Hi Dave,

Harmony in Nature. Nice capture.

There really is no need for more detail development, so I will pass on complaining about the use of F/11 here.

Best Regards,  Mike

Great shot of this duo.One could imagine that they are dishing out a tune.I like the glint in both of the eyes and that nice soft and color coded background.Bravo for an excellent image going from here to my favorites.

Excellent clarity and this is further accentuated by the neutral backdrop. I also like the format with the animals diagonal in the frame looking into the far upper corner. This would be a great shot if it was a single animal, but to capture two in this pose makes it very special.

Sincere Compliments

Several folks commented before I could get around to submitting -

THANK

These two mountain sheep were in a large herd. I liked these two

seeming to be singing together and focused on them. I post a version

where the other sheep and background were not PSed out. It did not

seem to present the featured singers without distraction.

I have never PSed out a background with wildlfe before thinking keeping

the setting was best.

I am curious if you feel this PSed background works in this case to

bring full attention to the singers and is not to artificial. Thanks for your

thoughts - Dave

Dave,

"Looks like you've got a winner here!"

Very nice details and sharpness with "catch lights" in both their eyes!

I think the post processing on your background really sets the photograph off!

Well done!

Jim j.

Symmetry, interseting body position...and above all a creamy background create a very compelling portrait shot. Well done Dave!

I did not see the original shot, but I don't feel the need to do so. Your post processing work has greatly enhanced the image and you have a wonderful piece of artwork.

I have never removed an entire background from and image, but I often remove "distractions" from my photography. I'm doing all this photography for my pleasure only and that is what matters most.

MIKE – thanks for the visit. When I first took this shot, I wanted to have the background in focus as well so tried to increase DOF by upping f-stop. I found the background distracting and removed it – now no need for larger DOF. But through the process of studying your comments, I have learned so much about using the fstop the glass best supports and have looked for other ways to deal with DOF. I have very much appreciated your insights on fstop.

KALLOL – thanks for the comments.

LAURENT – I am honored to have you put this in your favorites. Thanks for the feedback on the background.

ALF – thanks for you feedback on the background and composition. The 2 together really caught my eye as well.

JJJ – thanks for your impression of the background.

THOEDORE – thanks for your time and feedback on background and composition.

JOSE – I have watched for your images to appear in this forum and have learned from them just by observing what you do. Thanks for your visit.

PIERRE– thanks for your time and comments.

HEM – thanks for your thought son the background and composition.

TAREK – thanks for your comment on the background.

SHAWN – I agree that taking pics for your own pleasure is wonderful. That is my main interest as well. I also like to the feel of improving in something I really enjoy. Getting feedback from folks like you add greatly to my growth in this hobby and I really appreciate your time and effort.
