jeffl7 0 Posted March 13, 2012 This is such a cool quasi-abstraction. The spray of the water obscures, as does the blur. It's a "feel" picture. Or perhaps a "mood" picture, more accurately stated. Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted March 13, 2012 Might have actually been sort of o.k. if I had only bothered to move out from behind the water and focus the lens. What more could I do to sabotage my picture, eh?Pleased that you like it. It used to reside in my blur presentation, but it had only one comment - not enough to justify it's continued existence in those hallowed halls, especially given four other pictures taken with the same lens in blur comparisons. The picture also had a bunch of comments on Contax G Pages until that site was taken down due to pimply adolescent hacking. Who can find joy in that?I posted similar water pictures which didn't get much response, but I attached this one to a comment, and Tony Hadley remarked:Jamie the attached image is dynamite - at least to me - it has drama, shadows, rich blues and water - yeh - lots of water. Homo sapiens has strong ties with water and that could be a whole 'nuther' dissertation here. All the very bestSo I reprocessed it and posted it again. Thanks Jeff. best, j Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted March 24, 2012 Tony Hadley liked this old image, which I had attached to a comment, so I made a new version and posted it. What do you think? Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted March 25, 2012 Glad it caught your eye. It didn't get much attention the first time I put it up. best, jamie Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted April 16, 2012 I think this image is a 'stunner' Jamie. While you feel you may have sabotauged this capture, I think it is great you did! Some of the best things in life are 'surprises' !!! especially when we least expect it!!!A fine capture, very dynamic.Sincere regards, Gail Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted April 16, 2012 Jeff is big on sarcasm, so I knew he would know I was being sarcastic. I'm not big on rules for good pictures, you see. Thanks Gail. best, j Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted March 10, 2016 The water is like a curtain to the real show going on back there. Silhouettes of people , the midnight blue sky and the light hitting the building all attracted me to this interesting image. Personally I like it Jamie.Best Always, Holger Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted March 11, 2016 Thanks Holger. Glad you've found my little lens-brand folders. it was Landrum Kelly's idea, but i don't think he's been round yet. best, j Link to comment
