pnital 36 Posted March 11, 2012 I like both versions of the rocks, but in general, for me at least, a landscape is better to my eye in horizontal form than in a portrait one.In any event the previous has a very nice long DOF( which is a good result). Very nice nature images.( btw, I wrote you an answer in my photo that you commented on,...;-)) Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted March 12, 2012 Thank you Carla and Efim, I appreciate the comments! Pnina, I agree. I prefer the wider landscape shots as well, thanks!I'll be sure to follow up on my comment. :-) Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted March 13, 2012 You've nudged the contrast and "glow" a bit, creating another world, kind of a twilight world, too beautiful to be real, too real to be imagined. I like this approach. I can't pull it off without it looking contrived. Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted March 13, 2012 I take multiple exposures and blend or tonemap for almost all of the work that I do now and I think that's the "look" you are referring to. I've fallen in love it with. I think it steps away from the photocopy and gives it a life of it's own, birthed from the original scene. Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted March 23, 2012 Hi Tim - Like this image for the strength & ruggedness you have captured in the boulders, you have created a feeling of permanence & they are not going anywhere anytime soon.Rgards-Ross Link to comment
