jlg 0 Posted March 10, 2012 Excellent. I don't know how you got such an ethereal look, especially in the water, but it is very effective. Was it retouched digitally? Link to comment
stp 6 Posted March 10, 2012 The very subtle pattern of clouds in the sky is quite appealing, as is your overall composition. Link to comment

vbirke 0 Posted March 13, 2012 Many thanks for stopping by and leaving notes!José Luis: the Baltic Sea at Sassnitz was very calm during that evening but the coast there is unstable, especially during storms, hence, entire chalk cliffs (cretaceous, "white" rocks), entire trees or large branches etc. may fall into the sea and drift right off shore. The water may take on a turquoise color due to the finely divided white chalk interfering with the blue water (the chalk cliffs consist of brittle, friable material) generating a kind of "milky soup" (finely dispersed chalk in water) as well... There are also color photos showing this. Here, I wanted to try b&w though. This was a long exposure, the "milky soup" gives a special "milky" effect in b&w as well, and I mainly applied a Silver Efex filter for generating this b&w effect. Link to comment
