henricus 0 Posted June 3, 2003 Great tone and contrast. I especially like the low clouds. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted June 4, 2003 Comments, ratings appreciated on traditonal black and white shot, developed and printed in my home darkroom. I liked the clouds and dark bridge. Suggestions on printing welcome. Thanks. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted June 5, 2003 Last night I printed a 16"x16" print of this--looks very sharp (in my opinion!). I may try it at 20x20 or 24x24 just to see how it looks! Link to comment
mclaine 0 Posted June 6, 2003 Did you consider holding the underside of the bridge back? A better question might be; Is there any detail on the neg of the under-side of the bridge? It's a bit too black up there for my taste, I'd try to get a less drastic tone there, and on the concrete piles too. It's pretty good though, particularly the sky. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted June 6, 2003 John, thanks for the comments. I really admire your black and whites--I'm still learning a lot about darkroom work. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 9, 2003 WIth or without the bridge, the sky is just so great and so low! Link to comment
jamesaikenphotography 0 Posted June 30, 2003 An excellent B&W image. I really like the composition. The way the bridge runs out of the top of the frame gives it more of a dynamic presence in the image. I agree with John. I would like to see more detail on the underside of the bridge, but that may not be possible. Nice work. Link to comment
