The sunset no longer looks "bloody."  It is not really much brighter or dramatic than some of the other elements in the frame.  The HDR has flattened the light considerably and narrowed the range of the majority of the light.  It looks very processed.  You've avoided deep or extensive shadows, but at the price of losing the dramatic color of the sunset.  Very nice composition.  If it were possible to keep all of the vertical elements in their vertical alignment, that would be even better.
