IT REALLY IS A "GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE"!

I grew up in the SF Bay Area and have seen many sunsets... but, on

this day, the weather was oh so very clear and the sunset was simply

beyond golden... I have taken many pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge

and have seen many images of the Golden Gate Bridge... I have learned

new appreciation that the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge is

definitely golden in many ways! Thank you for your comments and

response.

When I was a child, my family and I had talked for weeks about visiting the GOLDEN Gate Bridge; I had beautiful visions of it shimmering in the sunlight. It seriously bothered me when I finally saw it for the first time  and discovered it was RED (or orange as they call it)! I kept asking my parents why they would call it golden if it wasn't... !

Quite superb! You've definitely captured the magnificence of this span.

It's appropriate framed to really emphasize the gold (and red) in the sky.  I'm glad I can see just a bit of detail on the water as well.
