The "Illegal Settlements" of Langa Township, South Africa

slide film and processed with Lightroom 3.2. It shows a child walking

through a stretch of the "illegal settlments" of the Langa Township near

Cape Town, South Africa. A hold-over from Apartheid days, the

township is home primarily to poor black Africans. The illegal

settlments are built on land that the government claims as its' own and

may demolish shacks at any point.
