I guess this is your reward for getting up at the crack of dawn. It's hard to choose among these three pictures, each has its own merits and all are good. I chose this one because it seems the most understated of the group and when photographing the spectacular I think its always wise to dial things back a notch and leave a little in reserve. Admitedly that's not the prevailing sensability in the current society where if it's not over the top it doesn't even get noticed but I've always preferred subtlety to bombast. (By the way, this is not at all a reflection on your other two versions which are also excellent, just a chance for me to rant in general a little.)

Thanks, Jack.  I shot perhaps ten to twelve shots, and this was, I believe, the very last one.

I shot the last few while sitting in the street in front of the house.  The neighbors no doubt already think that I am crazy for my frequent forays into the yard or street at all hours to look at moon, planets, stars, wind speed, wind direction, etc., so no real harm done being seen sitting in the street on a Sunday morning, I'm sure. . . .

Good to hear from you.  Thanks for the rant, too!

Shot while I was SITTING in the street on a Sunday morning. Maybe thetitle should reflect that fact. Comments welcome.
