I normally find these sorts of images of the northern lights quite boring, But this image has been very well captured, There is almost a dance happening between the lights and the static mountains. Compared to other similar images the exposure is realy good, details in the mountains give us something to explore.

I was thinking along the same lines as Richard.  These harmonize so nicely with the mountains, yet they also contrast so much in the sense of substance and permanence, that the whole photograph benefits.  The faint green reflections further set off the mountains.  This is one of the best (IMO) photographs of the aurora borealis I've seen.

What can I say - just absolutely gorgeous!  Even the stars are nicely visible!

Very nice shot! It would be nice to leave the water part a bit more to show the mountain reflection.
