Hi Lester,

I love the soft contrasts of this photo.  The stormy skies mould into the lights pastel and white of the water very well.  My only criticism would be that I don't think there's enough "going on" in this photo.  The two rocks and the distant sliver of land are a good start; but I think you need a hard, solid area to contrast (clash really) with the soft scaling of light shades.  If there was an island with some trees in between the rocks and the horizon I think it would be great.  All just IMO though.  Excellent work.

Serene and peaceful. Soothing colors. Whisper indeed. But, my eyes crave for something to attach on at the horizon - but nevertheless a wonderful creation. Best wishes.

The softness caused by the long exposure is very appealing.  Even though it is only faintly visible, I also like the distant island (especially given that the rocks are pretty close to the bottom edge).

I was once told by someone with some degree of expertise that "we" generally like an odd number of similar elements within a frame (e.g., footprints in sand, trees on the horizon or in a field, or rocks in water).  I've looked at many images (including my own) with that in mind, and I think there may be something to it (oh no, another "rule").  I know you can't do anything here, but I just mention it in case you come across a similar scene and can choose how many to include in your viewfinder.

Lester you have given us a soft, dreamy seascape that is soothing to look at. There is lovely tranquil atmosphere, the composition is perfect and the colours are a gentle blend of pastels. This all works together in a lovely image. I could live with this on my wall.

Also, well titled.

A really great shot which has a graphic almost abstract feel to it. I love the layers of colour in this shot. Well seen and executed, best wishes William.

A veritable sea of tranquility to contemplate and enjoy. It really does convey a feeling of calmness and peace, the foreground stones offering a tangible element to the otherwise ethereal scene.  Very well composed and communicated Lester.

Best Regards

Alf
