I really like your low perspective, and the "lines" of rocks scattered across the sand are great.  This appears to be a very recently lost rope, judging by its bright color -- not the faded rope one would expect from something lost long ago.  We have to take what's given, but the scene and story would have been even more interesting to me if the rope had been photographed after a very long time and equally long journey.

Wonderful exposure and mood.  Too bad you couldn't change the rope into a rock!  Regards, Jeff

I like this photo very much and i agree that if the rope was a rock, it would be more aesthetically pleasing but I still like it very much. I tend to like things quite colorful and that is one thing you can say about that rope. In this case I find the red so intense that it draws all of my attention. As a personal preference, i would prefer to see a selective de-saturation (just a tad) of that red rope, etc. Again, please remember this is a personal preference on a very fine image . Rated 6.

Yet another point of view. I too like the image very much. It is eye-catching and interesting. The fact that you have several comments is sufficient to say that you have captured the interest of other photographers. For me, this same perspective is wonderful, and if you took the rope completely out (by moving a few inches or removing it all together), you would have a beautifully barren, pristine environment conveying a totally different mood, one of magical isolation and otherworldly. So there you go.

Nice color, nice clouds and nice silhouette at the far end.  Love the strong foreground with the rocks in the diagonal lines and the colorful rope.  I agree with Stephone and other people's comments.  "We could wish but have to take what is given".   Best Regards,
