Shot with a Canon EOS 3000 on Ektachrome E100 VS slide film and

processed with Lightroom 3.2. This was a candid shot (the's why the

horizon is crooked, I was firing from the hip) of people about their business

in Africa's biggest open-air market: the "Mercato" in Ethiopia's capital city,

Addis Ababa. The day I arrived, I told my cab driver from the airport (who

was talking my ear off and trying to sell me white-water rafting tours down

south) that if he showed up at the old hotel I was staying at at 8 in the

morning I'd pay him to guide me through the Mercato. There he was at 8

AM and he gave me a great and very informative tour asking only the

equivalent of $2 dollars for his time. I Thanked him and paid him much

more. It was a great tour and I never felt in danger, but my tour guide/cab

driver got nervous a few times and told me to hold tight to my camera.

Aside from 3 or 4 shots in colour; I shot a roll of black and white.
