While waundering through an Antique Shop in a small village

(Lakefield, Ontario) not far from where I live, I spied some old tins,

way, way, up on a top shelf in a back room. I am always fascinated

with these old tins, worn by frequent use. They always seem to have

a story to tell. Many I see, are Limited Edition Tins, others just tins

used for the safe storage of perishables during the last century. I

can't help but wonder just 'who' used these tins, and if they were

passed on down the generations. I can't help but think if I am so

intrigued by them, they must have been cherished by 'someone'

along the way. Fortunately for my 'pocket book', these ones were so

high, it was even difficult for me to even obtain this capture. I did not

go home with any tins that day, but I was fortunate enough to find

some pink Depression Glass that matched the pattern of a few things

my Mom and Dad gave me a few years ago. (Many thanks for your

visit, Gail)

SHARP, SHARP, SHARP....................................great use of the fine lens

A wonderful theme, too.

Excellent shot with respect to itself ( depth, characters, sharpness and light/color ) and also for its strong feelings and story behind it. I attracted to these positive energy emitted from it just from hundreds of thousands miles far from you and the location of the shot, because of its strong feelings. Bravo for this amazing shot.

What a brilliantly conceived subject, it's kind of like "comfort eating" visually, and of course you get to enjoy the flavour of the image without gaining a single ounce : - )

I can imagine the insides of those tins all have different aromas and some may even have orginal particles.  It's a great collection and you have photographed it perfectly, the colours are subtle and suit the subject. I wonder how a sepia tinted version would look? It might go a step further in accentuating the nostalgic element of the photograph.

Sincere Compliments!

This photo left little room for compositional adjustment I suspect, but had superb memory triggering qualities.  Those elements that make a viewer think, remember, and feel... are here in abundance.

For viewers of your images to find them aesthetically pleasing is a good thing, but, for them to also feel an emotional connection... that is Great!

Gail my friend, you create images from the heart, which makes them all the more compelling, beyond simply pleasing.  You are an Artist not just a photographer.  You Feel as well as See.

Thank you for sharing both your vision and feelings with us.
