Shot on a Canon EOS 3000 using Ektachrome E100 VS slide

film. Converted to black and white and enhanced with Lightroom

3.2. A portrait of the interesting 'Quiver' Trees of Namibia. They

are named such because local indigenous tribed used the hollow

upper branches as quivers for their arrows. Feedback would be

greatly appreciated.

I think in this case the background is just as important as your main subject.  Here you've positioned the tree such that most everything to the right of the tree seems like dead space.  What I'm looking at is the possibility of moving to the left, putting the tree just to the right of the distant mountain on the right, probably putting the tree just a bit closer to the right edge of the frame, and keeping the two distant trees and the left mountain pretty much as is.  All of the  main elements would be visible, more of the space would be active, and I think it would be more aesthetically appealing.  All advice from an armchair photographer, so take it with a grain of salt (but it is intended to be constructive!).
