gregory, it is not an issue of computers or construction skills, but a question of the cost and availability of labor. we cannot work people the way "they" did. additionally what we do not see in these buildings, which i admire no less than others, is the trial-and-error construction methods that no one today is willing to pay for.

as for the image, i would say it is bi-polar.

Very nice image that works well in b&w. I love the feel of the walk on the right, which is somewhat echoed on the left. Could you have positioned the canera differently to make it almost a true echo or mirror image? I think thta would have been even more interesting. Well seen and shot.
