behemot3 0 Posted May 31, 2003 Is it another "boring" sunset? Or maybe something more? What do you think? Is the exposure good? How about the DOF? Was f 22 to a high number? Link to comment
buck_gremel 0 Posted May 31, 2003 I'd have to say the exposure is dang near perfect to capture the colors and mood. DOF is fine but if your effective aperture was actually more like f32 than f22 (you didn't say if f22 was the effective aperture), then you were probably needlessly loosing sharpness due to diffraction. ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted May 31, 2003 Beautiful colors in this sunset. I would prefer the horizon not so centered and I think it's stronger with just the orange in the sky without the yellows. The fire in the sun itself is great Link to comment
glen_evans1 0 Posted May 31, 2003 I like the composition exactly as it is. The sharpness or lack thereof would be limited by your lens in any event so the effective aperture is really not an issue. The live colors, foreground, and color gradient to yellow then gold at the top are splendid. This image is an example that even oft-done scenes can be rewarding. G.E. Link to comment
koval 0 Posted June 13, 2003 good. however tilt bothers me here as the tight crop at the bottom. Placment of the sun int the middle make it a bit less involving. Colors a re great and make good mood. Regards PK. Link to comment
