jennifercatron 9 Posted February 25, 2012 This is one of those shots where I hear my mother saying for the fifteenth time.... stop slouching dear or you're gonna grow that way permanently. She looks a bit slouched in the soldiers. Great otherwise. Nice job. Link to comment
william_staniforth 0 Posted February 25, 2012 I'm inclined to agree with Jennifer , but it is still a good shot . Well lit and I like the background making her stand out . Bill Link to comment
tore 0 Posted February 25, 2012 Thanks for your comments, I played with different poses to get a maximum definition of her collar bone. I have some with a more "strict" style to. Maybe I post that later on.Best regards Tore Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted February 26, 2012 I'm not sure about the shoulders. I see what the other comments mention and they are valid comments, but it's hard for me to see anything beyond those beautiful eyes. A really soft, pleasing expression... Mike Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted February 26, 2012 Beautiful portrait of this beautiful young lady. Nice light and good engaging eye contact and pose. My only comment is that the skin of her face and neck seem to be of different tone than the skin from her shoulder down. Other than that it's a great portrait, the shoulder posture doesn't bother me. tore 0 Posted February 26, 2012 Michael. Thanks for your comment, I love her expression in this one too, the expression was my reason for choosing this one for post here. Michel,Thanks for your comment, You right there is a small difference in the skin tone. I guess the winter give the face a lot more sun than the rest of the body and foundation is 2 reasons for that.I made a try in photoshop and I can do some small adjustments to get it more even I will bear that in mind for my next post process.Best regards Tore Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted February 26, 2012 Thank you for your recent visit and comment on my photo.Regarding the skin tone, here is a trick i used successfully in the past. You add an empty layer on top of the background layer, then with the color picker you chose a color from her face, then you paint with the brush on the part of the body you want the color to match. Don't worry too much about what it looks like at this stage, just make sure you cover the entire area you want to match. Then change the blending mode of that new layer to "color" and if necessary you can adjust the opacity until it blends with the rest of the skin (See my 2 mins adjustment). tore 0 Posted February 26, 2012 Michel,Thank you for your suggestion. I think that is a good method for bikini shoots on tanned model with a even light all over. In this shoot there is a lot of highlights on her body and it will narrow everything down to the same hue and effect the light value over the arias you paint . if you use the hue blend mode it don't effect the light value but everything gets the same hue and if you take away the variation of hue you lose some of the color contrast in the shoot. I think the color sample tool and curves adjustment layers is a better way :)Best regards Tore Link to comment
