rekaras 0 Posted February 24, 2012 This is truly neat. Love the color and composition. My first thought on seeing the thumbnail was of the Kia commercial on TV set to the music, EVERYBODY'S SHUFFELIN'. Best regards, rek. Link to comment

alfbailey 1 Posted February 25, 2012 Such are the components of emotive origination, that are configured in such an metaphorical fashion, that the viewing inevitabley leads to an individual expression and interpretation "Brothers in Arms" says it for me. Superb Creativity!Best RegardsAlf Link to comment
dave_dise1 0 Posted February 25, 2012 Pierre, this shot makes me ask myself two questions. First, is that a sunrise or sunset? Second, three of the figures all express strength and resolve of purpose. The man losing his pants on the other hand doen not fit that theme. So what did the photographer mean by placing him in the photo? Makes me think - as do most of your photos!!Dave Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted February 25, 2012 Dave, the sculptures are characters from the past of my country, the group one is the monument to the fallen defenders in the last war conflict, the horseman is as I in respond to the question of Maurizio said, some kind of Garibaldi in my country's history and the "walker" represents some kind of agitator! You ask me about the figure in the front, it's a sculpture which represents the great poet and combatant for independence of my country! They are all connected with the same cause and again all with their own life and path, that's the caption about, unity and independence! I could name it unity for independence, but it would have lost the general meaning! And it's probably sunrise, the picture which I used for a background and may also represent kind of beginning of something worthwhile!PDE Link to comment
gsaphoto 0 Posted February 25, 2012 Long way to Independence, even longer to Unity... Excellent presentation that well applied to the past, as well to the future... Excellent, Pierre! Link to comment

aarkp 2 Posted February 26, 2012 The horseman seems to be on his way out. To me he looks like a tired and beaten monarch. And that leads me to my own interpretation. If the people will link arms (obvious), stand firm (the guy who's 'losing his pants') and act (the agitator), tyranny (the only one astride a stately beast) can be abolished... Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted February 26, 2012 Rajat, interesting observation! The story here is about a nation which suffered tyranny of other nations for centuries and its struggle to stop that and future possible tyrannies! And I may say that all small nations in the world and in the history suffered and still suffer the same! Thank you for your valuable input!PDE Link to comment
