Perhaps an abstract, but more, as with a style of painting, where the

artist is long into the painting before the artist sees and understands

what the painting is about. At that point it is no longer an abstract for

the artist and the task is to allow the painting to proceed unbiased by

the artist’s knowing.

This is a merger of two images; the primary image was captured on my

phone’s camera. A while into the process of level, color, and other

adjustments and exploring composition, I understood the image.

Comments and critique welcome.

Creative, artistic, interesting and somewhat enigmatic. I'm not sure why but I like it. It feels as though I'm looking through a veil at a chuch type structure off in the distance. Like I said interesting work.

Thanks, Pierre, Holger and Patsy for stopping by and commenting. I think abstracts are first to be felt and feeling is sometimes our only clue to understanding.  I treat abstracts like a dream, Holger, so when I first recognized the church like structure I wondered about its significance - what is this piece saying about me or about the world as I perceive it.

Thanks Grigoriy.  Interesting you mention water color.  I paint primarily with water color.  Maybe I am emulating my water color techniques in photography and processing more than I realize.
