tm_j 30 Posted February 24, 2012 I think the image can use some level/contrast adjustment to darken the bird a bit more to make it stand out better. The wings are almost lost is sort of unfortunate but it does happen from time to time. Don't know what kind of lens, f-stop and SS was used but my experience with shooting humming bird is that an SS over 1/800 is sufficient and the f-stop is very important when you are close to the bird to get good DOF. One of the trick in cleaning up is to use the magic wand and pick the background and run noise reduction on just the background to keep the bird sharp with details but get a noise-free background.
