Guest Guest Posted May 30, 2003 colors and shapes are very good , but it i sa pity that the framing cut main elements (the bread and almost the hole ). Link to comment

wenger 0 Posted May 31, 2003 I agree with the above comment that it's a real shame that the crop is so tight. The colors and shapes are wonderful. Link to comment
mehrashk 0 Posted June 1, 2003 I am so sorry that someone has called this talented picture a shame! if you see this beautiful then where is the shame? You could guide the composer for correct cropping instead. Ehsan, your eyes see good things. keep on going on. Link to comment
wenger 0 Posted June 1, 2003 Mahrashk - I didn't call the picture a shame, I called the selected cropping a shame. In addition I did refer to what would be better when I made mention of the original post that suggested the crop cut into vital elements of the photo, and when I said it was a "shame that the crop is so tight". The reason that it is a shame that it is cropped this way is because the image is almost so so good. If the picture wasn't any good, it wouldn't be a shame at all. Link to comment

laura2 0 Posted June 16, 2003 I love the fire and how it glows upon the bread! GREAT COMPOSITION! Link to comment
shawn_kielty1 0 Posted September 29, 2003 I like the composition here -- the tightness of this allows the view to fully experience the rich textures present in the bread and ceramic - The cropping also helps us know that there is more communicated than what we see -- and fosters imagination in the viewer to visualize the tender of this fire -- and what the spaces and textures might lead to beyond the edges of the frame. Essentially this image goes beyond what is seen through the camera lens. Breaking the edges of the format with the subject makes the image interesting.. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 8, 2003 I would think that the picture would improve, and the eye wouldn't wander off the page if it was cropped a little differently, the upper right hand corner is a little distracting and takes something away from the photo - personally speaking ofcourse, but hope this helps. Overall, great thinking and nice original shot. Link to comment
sulker 0 Posted December 18, 2003 We also use the same technique(it's used rarely nowadays) in Turkey and call this kind of bread tandir. Nice colour and composition. Link to comment
