katie_clarke1 0 Posted February 18, 2012 I think its a great photo. The only thing I would have suggested is to have had her on the right side of the frame but it may work with the background. I'm not sure. K.C. Link to comment

andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted February 18, 2012 excellent photo, anabela, compliments! i dont know if i am more attracted by the child or by the bg, but no doubts is the bg that make the photo. and the particular light, of course Link to comment
kallol 1 Posted February 18, 2012 Wonderful shot, Anabela...the child is very well contrasted with the background and depicts so many stories...love it...my best Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted February 18, 2012 Fine documentation with nice natural colors. Compliments! Probably some crop on the right would enhance the composition. Link to comment

krpradu 125 Posted February 18, 2012 Right space don't bother me to much because main subject is so strong, contrast with dark bg,also age contrast, lead the view in this light point, compliments and max. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted February 18, 2012 Super photo with amazing clarity.Your crop to capture the full extent of the penetrating sun's footprint stretches a tad to the right but does not deter from this excellent image which is a true rendition of the Toraja traditionnal attire worn at special occasions like this burial ceremony.Wish my photos of Sulawesi were like yours..Bravo!Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
Anabela Sequeira 0 Posted February 18, 2012 Thank you everyone for your thoughts and kind support! Regarding the "Rule of space", I broke it to give significance to the background. Even though there is no "actual" active space at child's left I thought the background would worth it. I try to keep in mind the rules of composition but at the same time I try not to be restricted by them. Sometimes rules are meant to be broken..:) Once again thanks to all of you for taking the time to ponder on my image. Very helpful indeed! Anabela Link to comment
victorwei 0 Posted February 18, 2012 Absolutely beautiful. The subject is brilliantly isolated from the rest of the composition for her irresistible glow. Just added this to my "favourites". Link to comment

tonyfrench 0 Posted February 23, 2012 Anabela, This is a nice moment, with the line of darkly clad legs facing away from the child. The light on the child and her surrounding area is really wonderful. The detail on her face and and clothing also great. Link to comment
engela 0 Posted February 24, 2012 She is so very cute and will certainly grow up to be a beautiful woman! Great capture, and you've done well to blur out the background, with full emphasis on the girl.Great work as always. Kind regardsEngela Link to comment
