This seasoned fisherman explained that he is a sustenance fisherman,

so he fishes all year long. Usually at this time of year he's ice

fishing, but as you can see there is no ice this year due to the

warmer than average temperatures in the Midwest.

I like this image with this happy fisherman, his smile is ten points,I like too his colors clothes that create an excellent contrast here,no frozen lake?the weather is so strange, snow and again snow in my area and in some part snow banks cover the houses in the villages, more than 4m and arround -15*C,from long long time wasn't something like this.I am glad that you show us lot of good images in last week, best regards.

Very nice. I was thinking about cropping those rocks above his head..I think it would improve it a little bit, but then you might lose a small slice of his hat.

I'm with Radu, his expression makes the shot.  Of course it was nice of you to get it all sharp as a tack. ;-)...  Mike

Radu, Thanks for your very kind remarks, and I'm glad you like my new images.  I'm sorry you're experiencing so much snow.....the snow you describe is usually present in this Lake Michigan, but this year there was none at all.  You're right.....there is some crazy climate change going on.

Timo....you could well be right about that.  The rocks do interfere a bit.  But since I'll never be printing this out or placing this man and his fish on my wall (:-), I'll probably leave it as it is.  Thanks for your input.....much appreciated.

Mehmet.....I appreciate your taking the time to comment.  Thanks!

Mike, This fisherman was as gregarious as they come, and he loved talking about his fishing prowess.   We talked to him and his cronies a long time, and we heard a few fish stories (actually, they were true ones though).  :-)  Glad you like this one.  Hey, I bought a car today.....I'm so excited!  First one for me in 14 years!

Tony, I left a few messages on your images a little while ago.  You've been busy and have some great new stuff!  Thanks for stopping in and leaving a comment.

A great "catch" for you and the fisherman.  This is well composed and I like the colors of his jacket against the gray background.  Very well done!

Bill.....thanks so much!  I know....that outfit he has on is so perfect.  I had my sights on taking his picture for that reason alone, and then he turned out to be a very friendly guy who loved to talk and wanted to have his picture taken.  I lucked out!  Thanks for your visit!

Mike.... I got a white car.  ;-)   I'll email you!
