Really like the composition here. A wonderful image. A six from me.

I would encourage you to return to this site and shoot it in many other weather conditions. Maybe even a dusk or night shot.

Hi Christal!

Very good photo! This cold light blue colour and the black structure (like a train going to the sea) is beautiful!

I like the leading line doubling back on itself.  That brings additional interest to an already well composed shot.  A shot from the walkway might be interesting as well (if you're allowed up there)... Mike

I appreciate all of your remarks....thanks for taking the time.

Tony and Radu, I totally agree with you.  This was the most uninteresting sky one could imagine.....but it was what it was!  :-)  I live 2 hours from here, so I'll be back again to try to capture this in better conditions.

Joao and Jo....nice to hear from a couple of new 'faces'.  Thanks for your kind remarks.

Mike...some interesting trivia.....The fishermen fishing here were telling us that this is the first winter in a long time that there hasn't been ice built up nearly to the walk.  Winters are usually brutal here, but this winter has been so mild that there is no ice fishing and virtually no ice on Lake Michigan.  The walk was closed and is only used when the ice prevents getting out to the lighthouse.  Thanks!

I too like the shot of the lighthouse through the curving walkway structure.  It's a more imaginative look at the lighthouse, and it fills the frame in a very good way.  Yeah, this is a place you can return to time after time and each visit will likely be a different experience with a different photograph.

WOW!  Christal, this is an awesome image and I love it.  You have captured the leading lines and curved walkway to highlight the light house in the best possible way.  Bravo!

I must confess that this is the only shot I took in this particular position.  I took several shots from different vantage points, but in the end liked this one best.  Thanks for chiming in with your opinions.....much appreciated.
