Christal1664882414 0 Posted February 15, 2012 I don't know where this was taken, but it looks like the quintessential New England church. Your title is brilliant, and the light on the stairway enhances the idea of ascending to heaven. It's a beautiful image. One little nit is that the church seems to be leaning a bit to the right. If the top edge of the fence were parallel to the edge of the frame, I think I'd prefer it. But I didn't even notice that until I had stared at the image for awhile (because I love it so much!) stp 6 Posted February 15, 2012 I really like the straight-on view, and the composition is great. It's a perfect title as well -- the stairs, even though they are mostly covered with snow, are very prominent (it's fortunate they are in the sun while the face of the church is shaded). I agree with Christal -- this is tilting a bit to the right; I hope you have enough room to make a crop adjacent to the sign (I'll bet you have more in the original; to my eye this looks taller than a normal 3:2 ratio). thadley 15 Posted February 15, 2012 Richard - a very good image and nothing more to add after Christal's and Stephen's comments. PS I am trying to read the three large words on the sign and just wondering if my inability to do so is indicative of my aging eyes or the need to sharpen just a tad. Link to comment
richard_john_edwards 0 Posted February 15, 2012 Richard I really like this, I think it's the stairs with the snow almost covering them that does it for me Link to comment

Not Here 93 Posted February 16, 2012 The previous comments cover this well, but I offer that it's a beautiful shot, very serene and well composed... Mike Link to comment
