jeff.grant 0 Posted February 13, 2012 Very nicely done, the trees forming a peak with the mirroring work very well and the fog brings it alive. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted February 13, 2012 I love how the reflection of the trees is nestled in the curvature of the ice/snow line. The fog creates a wonderful mood, and overall it's a lovely image. Link to comment

stp 6 Posted February 14, 2012 What a beautiful composition. The foreground ice was kind enough to allow just enough open water to accommodate the reflections of the trees on the opposite shore. The fact that the trees come to a point here and are also enveloped in a light fog add to the visual attraction. It's a very appealing winter scene. Link to comment
sonneland 0 Posted February 14, 2012 wolfgang, would have to agree with all of the comments above, but what really stands out here for me is the total naturalness of your image, it appears to me that you have been guided by the elements and good composition. really nice work! Link to comment

ramon-monegal 0 Posted February 15, 2012 Hi, Wolfgang.Very nice work! Your composition was perfect, and so was the exposition. B&W fits perfectly to the mood that your image transmits. So... well done! :)BR,Ramon. Link to comment
tonyfrench 0 Posted February 15, 2012 Wolfgang, the tones in this are quite wonderful. The various circular formations are very effective, particularly the ice in the foreground and the way it points toward the group of trees and their reflection. The snowy mist enhances the atmosphere nicely. Link to comment
wolfgangarnold 142 Posted February 15, 2012 wow - I'm overwhelmed by so many and so encouraging comments - big thanks to all of you!The fog was really 'bad' that day, so the atmosphere almost was there. The ice, slowly growing into the lake, was a lucky encounter. So, I tried a bit to get ice and reflection into the composition you're seeing here.cheers, Wolfgang Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 15, 2012 This is a beautiful and beautifully organized photo. It all fits together like an ethereal dance of tones, a winter minuet. Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted February 16, 2012 I think that Christal summed it up very eloquently "The reflections of the trees nestled in the curvature of the ice" Also the way the pine trees are presented with an element of depth to the right, they give a very distinct impression of the fog, as thier visibility diminishes. Great winter scene.Sincere ComplimentsAlf Link to comment

This is a wonderful soft capture with lots of mood and superb composition. You certainly have a terrific eye for art and photography. The shape and depth of the foreground snow frame this image perfectly. Link to comment
