HI Sam, I am pleased that you responded, as you opened up Pandora's box !

When Betsy and I first moved to the West coast of Florida (37 years ago), I would go fishing in pond just like what you pictured. There were all types of creatures, snakes, alligators, turtles.

I would be in the water up to my boot level (about one foot deep). I would catch bass, catfish and the other tasty fish. I never got attacked by any Florida dweller.

One of these ponds was in my back yard, too !
