Apart from the fact that is an excellent street photo, the tonality is very well balanced, the girl in the stripy dress standing against a dark bg. and the girl dressed in blk. standing against a dark bg.  is also a contemporary social comment, having to smoke outside. Well seen GungaJim.

A little bit of a departure from your usual work, but I really love this.  Great B&W tones, and you seem to have caught them totally unaware of your presence......which brings me to the question......I see that your shutter speed was 1/40.  Was this hand held or did you use a tripod?  With a tripod it seems it would have been harder to be inconspicuous.  The reason I ask is that I'd like to do more street photography but I always feel so conspicuous or that I'm intruding.  (I also can't seem to get a really sharp image at anything slower than 1/60).
