Hi Sam,

In such conditions, I would be more concerned about my own state and that of my camera than the pelican.

I have seen these birds and others in the water in hurricane force winds.

First glance at this image shows a Pelican on a pond... however the larger image has a different story and I can see why you posted it.

The sea is being whipped up by the wind, ahead of the storm and this Juvenile is probably thinking "what the....?"

Nature looks after nature, It's us humans that get it in the neck.
