A shot taken in the Third Beach area in Stanley Park. I was going to stay

on the seawall, but decided to go onto the beach, and examine a few rock

outcrops. I like the contrast between the still water in the strait, and the

rippled sand, which suggests movement in the water at higher tides. Let

me know what you think. Thanks in advance for any comments.

Paul,  I've been to Stanley Park on a few trips to Vancouver - one of the most picturesque cities - but have not been to this beach.  The combination of the overcast day that affords nice soft light, the most interesting rocks that you have composed in an artistic manner, and the soft appearance of the water make this an excellent image.  And, it is certainly a unique capture of the Vancouver skyline.  Nice work.

Thanks Larry.  This beach is tucked a little away from Second Beach and English Bay.  Third beach is on the same side of Stanley Park as English Bay and Second Beach, but more toward the Lions Gate Bridge.  I have been working more and more on long exposures of the Vancouver area lately, and got lucky with the weather and soft light this day.  Take care, Larry, and thanks again for the kind words.
