andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted February 10, 2012 an excellente comp of an excellent situation. not a 7, only a 6 for mr, becouse there is something dtrange about light. it comes from the left, but on the terrain seems stronger than on the figures. so faces and what's happening is a little bit hidden, at my eyes. but an excellent photo, bravo Kallol! Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 10, 2012 I kind of agree with Andrea. It's a naturally interesting photo but the figures aren't distinct enough to stand out against the background, I guess due to similarity of color and tone. Link to comment
drkallol 0 Posted February 11, 2012 Wonderful real life shot. Thanks for sharing. My best regards.Kallol Link to comment
sumon_mukherjee 0 Posted February 11, 2012 This is a wonderful life-shot with natural colors. It’s a beautiful depiction of daily life of that area. This is also a very good cultural documentary of rural India. Yes, this rough rocky terrain is always really important in their tough life. So the stronger presence of the terrain has enhanced the strength of the composition. A skillfully composed image. Best regards. Link to comment

Karl Schuler 48 Posted February 11, 2012 An amazing real life scene in an amazing setting. I agree that the potential of this photo is not fully valued. But the brighter version posted here is also not better. The light, contrast and colors of the persons have some potential to be enhanced. Karl Link to comment
krpradu 125 Posted February 11, 2012 It is an excellent moment caught by you here that can be considered a documentary image no doubt, concerning the light was not the best position you had there but is possible to do something and I try myself this, hope this don't bother you,and the result is a bit different, what do you think?I did some light on the shadows part and tonal contrast just a little. jayanti 0 Posted February 11, 2012 Beautiful composition for depicting their hard life. I like this original version than the modified ones. Trying to enhance light artificially robs the spirit - in my opinion of course. Regards. Link to comment

benhuybrechts 0 Posted February 12, 2012 Strong image ! But I agree with Radu's version, A bit of fill light and saturation makes it more vibrant. Ben Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 12, 2012 I like your original composition, as it has an atmospher of the hard daily life, in this godforsaken corner of the globe.Good timing as well. Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted February 12, 2012 I admired this image for w while. Finally I decided to write my opinion after seeing some suggestions about change. The image is a bit dark but the light, color and tonality is just perfect! All the elements fit together perfectly. I do not care about the rules. This is a true masterpiece and any attempts to modify hoping for improvement are futile. Link to comment
jim_air 0 Posted February 12, 2012 A very interesting shot, Kallol. They are virtually anonymous figures, because of the darkness of the composition. That this has occasioned a lot of debate is all to the good. At first I just assumed that they were working at some type of mining but then saw the item which the woman is holding is dripping. So they are doing the daily wash. The little boy seems to be pondering something and his, or someone's, jandals are close by.Excellent composition and food for thought. Well done indeed !Best regardsJim Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted February 13, 2012 Very Good image. Was it Ansel Adams who said that the negative is the score (musical) while the print is the 'performance'. Seeing all of the variations on the theme lends credence to that saying - all of the variations including the original are very good. All the very best on a fine image. (6) Link to comment
