Wayne Sadler 562 Posted February 10, 2012 A gondola serenade ride seemed a little touristy and a bit corny to me, but fortunately I signed up anyway. The ride down the Grand Canal at sunset was the high light of my trip. I’ve tried to “paint” and express in tone the impression of this romantic place and time. Comments and critique welcome. alfbailey 2 Posted February 18, 2012 I really like the composition and the atmosphere, great colours and perspective. I do wonder about the patch of light towards the end of the boat to the left, was this deliberately painted in? Very well done!Best RegardsAlf Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 562 Posted February 19, 2012 thanks, Alf & Tony. you caught me, Alf. That light bothers me too. Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 562 Posted February 19, 2012 Yes, Alf, that light was deliberate. (Seemed like a good idea at the time) Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted February 19, 2012 Beautiful work Wayne. Your painterly skills are very admirable. I love these ones of the Gondolas. I understand what Alf means about the 'light' but that aside, it is still very beautiful.Warm regards, Gail Link to comment
