Saadsalem 74 Posted February 5, 2012 Today is the birthday of the prophet Mohammad, the man who ends theslavery 1400 years ago,the man who said the values differences betweendark skinned and whites, the values differences between man andwoman, and the values differences between riches and poor are the samedifferences between the very same comb teethes. Peoples of my city celebrate this day by making public feast, distributing candies ,and hanging posters that reminds with originalethics of Islam. This is an image shot few hours ago depicting traditional (not usual)clothes worn by two kids, their grandfather is wearing traditionalnormal clothes of my city. Link to comment

myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted February 9, 2012 The boy standing looks like a little Arab sheik. Beautiful colors. The old and the new: namely the old muslim finery and jogging shoes from western culture. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted February 13, 2012 The older boy has the countenance and bearing which could easily identify him as a prince. Could be my western stereotyping of Middle Eastern culture but you could have told me that & I would have believed it. He is certainly a handsome young lad. This photo speaks to me, a grandfather of two sibling boys myself. My grandsons are a year or two older than these boys but with about the same spread of their ages. I can feel this Grandfather's pride. The feeling is universal. Super portrait for posterity. Hope you did some individual portraits, full length, mid length, and close up as well. The kids will probably never look as neat & clean when the traditional clothing is removed and their usual play clothing put on. Boys involved in play are a universal element too. :-) Best, LM Link to comment
