Submitted as 'street' this almost might have been designated 'fine

art' and is a break from much of my usual more 'representational'

work. Most Americans will recognize the familiar saying 'step on a

crack [in the sidewalk] break your mother's back', which both parties

seem to be avoiding here, albeit just barely. Your ratings, critiques

and observations are invited and most welcome. If you rate harshly,

very critically or wish to make a remark, please submit a helpful and

constructive comment; please share your photographic knowledge to help

improve my photography. Thanks! Enjoy! john

There was no 'manipulation' to this photo as defined by Photo.net.

There were contrast and brightness adjustments only, but no burning, dodging, filling, sponging, selecting or other manipulations.

There was only use of the contrast and brightness adjustments, although substantially, as you may have guessed.

Temperature:  0 Degrees Fahrenheit to -10 Fahrenheit. or -17 to -23 Celsius (the old Centigrade).

Cold enough to make a male worry about his cajones and a witch . . . .  well you can guess . . . .

Plus the wind was blowing.

Sidewalk had just been shoveled of fresh fallen snow and ice, but only in parts, accounting for unusual patterning.
