Although this is a simple image, it's well-composed and exposed, so that made me curious about your work in general.  I am very impressed with your entire portfolio.....the execution and your versatility.  I also love to take a variety of subjects, and I aspire to the level of work you've achieved.  I recently bought a 60D and am loving it, so it's great to see the work you're doing with yours.  At any rate, I love the B&W simplicity of this image, as well as the slow shutter speed, which makes the water calm and mirror-like.  

You have a very smooth water from the long exposure and a great range of B&W tones.  I'm not sure what the amount of sky you have adds to the photo, and I'm thinking the same about the amount of foreground beach.  I suggest you try cropping the sky first, perhaps up to about 80% or so, and then try a bit with the beach and see what you think.
