A colour image is always a nice surprise from you. The dark and bright areas are very well balanaced, the light is very good. I most like the concept and idea of this photograph.

Andrea, This is a nice find with the very tightly controlled color. I particularly like the way the tones and colors of the face work with the various statues. The bits of cool tones is a nice relief to the warm browns/tans.

Where's Waldo?  Good luck or good timing that this vendor (artist?) happened to be looking in the same direction as most of his wares.  The brighter central portion keeps redirecting the wandering eye back to your subject. One time, I think, that colour rocks!   Great environmental portrait.  Best, LM.

Hello Andrea,

Nice to see a color picture from you. My first impression was that the light was very hard, and that the contrast between the dark and light area was too large.

Looking at it some more, I realized that this was a strong point of the image.  You created a natural vignetting, leading the eye to the main topic.

I would try to darken the light area in the top right corner, also darkening  the green and white area in the middle of the image might result in an even stronger picture.

Well Done,

Ben

my friends, i am really happy to read all your interesting comments. thanks for your attention and your observations. I read with a particular attention Ben's suggestions, becouse i have been thinking exactly about them. the original background was not so dark, but it seemed too much confused and distracting. so i made it darken, but at least i choosed to leave the grren and white areas otherwise it seemed to me more "fine art" than "street". and this is a street shooted in the biggest market of rome. i dont know if i was  right, but is nice to see that this point has been seen. thanks, ciao!

Good choice to eliminate the background (distractions), it has a more significant impact on the overall result of your image. The colors fit very well and are not distracting from what you want to express in your photograph. Compliments - I like your 'integrated vendor'. Saluti

The expression of the seller seems a mask himself! So I can choose a mask to increase my collection...A very good capture...Ciao

I like the composition and the real figure" similar" to the statues... very nice dispersion of the light, and very  good timing! Despite the busy frame it works nicely.
