Retired, but still colorful! I like how well you handle color saturation. Also, thank you for your recent comments.

Great subject, but it becomes banal for me with everything around it.  I would pull in to just above the bottom of the windshield, just above the top of the bumper, and just outside the body of the car, cropping out the fenders.  That would really emphasise the ribs of light on the hood and the ribs of the grill.  Sometimes it's just too tempting to get everything.  best, j

Linda what a lovely paint job on this beauty, but seriously I too would like it a little tighter view giving us more of the details in this old baby. Fine image either way. Take care.

Thanks everyone!

Grigoriy, I'm glad to hear you like it.

Jamie, I tried cropping this several different ways. I liked the light on the fence and wanted to include it. I know what you mean about too much going on. I will try your suggestion. Thanks!

Holger, if two think this needs a tighter crop then I definitly will do it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Niki, thank you. I didn't use HDR software. I did this in Photoshop - didn't use their program - I never get good results.  I used three layers with different exposures, dark to light and combined them. Then I did some dodging and burning.

Best wishes,

Linda

Wow! amazing colors and light. I bet this belongs to a hippie from those times when you sang "won't you wear some flowers in your hair"  All the very best,

This was a great find for you. These old vehicles are a photographers dream. I like your p/p work here bringing out the multi coloured paintwork....Regards

Linda,

Great work! Both in the photographs and post processing!

I too like the lighting of the fence, as well as the shadows shown on the trucks fender and hood.

Glad to see that you and the 100-400 are getting along so well!

Regards always,

Jim j.

Hello Linda,

WOW great image.  The colors, the shadows on the car, and the title make this is a very strong image. Top marks for this one.

PERFECT IMAGE TO REPRESENT RETIREMENT !!!!

" I may be older but I've reached the point in life where I no longer weather my colours 'go together' If I want to hang out till the 'wee hours' I will. I"m keeeping the 'old shoes' that I've loved for years, no longer pay heed to others' impression of me - just happy - to be just hang'in !!!

Fantastic editing Linda!  I've yet to find 'that irrestible' OLD WRECK !!

FOND REGARDS,

Gail

I like how the grill is subtly askew, as if the car is muttering something under its breath.  I like how age reveals a colorful personality underneath the surface.  Poor flat tires...
