Pelicans and Seagulls..Take 2 Lighter hills

I posted a version of this yesterday with darker hills. I have positioned

the images so they are next to each other in the gallery so you can

compare them. Which one looks better? Thanks for your comments.

At first, I liked this version because the pelicans were so prominent in the scene.  However, I liked the color of the water in the darker scene.  As I flipped back and forth, I decided that the pelicans were also very prominent in the darker version, and I eventually came to think that the light version was too unreal, almost (but not quite) as if the pelicans had been pasted into the scene.  Also, the single gull flying in front of the mountains shows up better in the darker version.  That's why my personal preference is for the darker version, but it was not an easy pick.
