l. v. 0 Posted May 23, 2003 Great atmosphere (particularly the dark sky) and nice perspective which confirms the strength of this building. Nicely done! Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted May 23, 2003 Comments appreciated on this cross-processed shot. I liked the colors, but not so happy with composition. Thanks. Link to comment
pedja 1 Posted May 23, 2003 I think crossprocessed images are manipulated, according to the PHOTO.NET guidelines. Nevertheless, I like the image very much. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted May 23, 2003 Predrag, that's an interesting question. However, since this is an effect created in a "wet" darkroom, I consider it unmanipulated. The way I define manipulated is to make changes that I can't easily produce in the darkroom. I'd like to hear your definition of manipulated. Link to comment
matthew_bender 0 Posted May 23, 2003 Cool effect. I think the composition might be improved by cropping from the bottom. Link to comment
pedja 1 Posted May 24, 2003 My standpoint is very close to yours. I just wanted to say that the image is manipulated according to these rules. Link to comment

robertbrown 1 Posted May 24, 2003 Predrag, you are right. Under the stated Photo.net rules is this is manipulated. I'll change the category. Link to comment
root 0 Posted May 25, 2003 I like it. Looks like it could be a night shot. The texture and detail don't need a lot of space so I would say it's very well balanced. Did you cross process it yourself or was it done commercially. I might try a few myself. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted May 28, 2003 Thanks for the comment on my photo. I've been fooling around with both slide film process as c41 and c41 process as slide. So far the slide film processed as c41 has worked best for me. I've been rating the film at half its speed (200 speed as 100, etc.). I found that subjects with a large amount of light areas enable the most interesting color shifts. I had these processed at a local, definitely not pro, lab. Anybody should be able to develop your negatives. I scanned these on an Epson 2450 scanner. Let me know if you have any other questions. Link to comment
photoriot 16 Posted May 28, 2003 In the small size I thought it might be an avocado with something on top. Impressive shape either way. Link to comment
mountaineer1965 0 Posted November 23, 2003 I really like the whole effect here. Very interesting. Link to comment
