DGorinstein 20 Posted January 31, 2012 I am surprised why many of your photos do not receive more comments, most of them do deserve appreciation, like this one here. Good old fashioned B/W with great mood and tonality range, depicting very nicely the solitude of the place and the bare tree. I also like your image on the cave. Well done!DG Link to comment

Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted February 2, 2012 Hi Robert, You have created a most artistic image by visioning and handling a simple, but powerful scene well. Terrific utilization of light and reflections. I tinkered with this a bit, not because I think my rendition is better, but to illustrate how different the mood message of an image, especially B&W, can change with small adjustments. I added a bit more sharpness and increased the contrast some. Your version has a soft and effective mood; my modification is more crisp and punchy. Both are excellent. Thanks for sharing your fine work. Larry Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted February 2, 2012 Robert, The differences with my tinkering just don't show up here with such a small image. Link to comment
harlequin 0 Posted February 15, 2012 Very dramatic. The b&w works very well to set this shot up. Nice composition, good use of light, good capture of the reflection. - Charles Link to comment
