Hi Sam,

Nice capture my friend.

These guys never seem to go hungry.

They are very successful fisherman. When Betsy and I lived in Sarasota, Florida, one of these birds became rather tame by the fisting dock that I used to fish from. I could almost touch him as he walked around.

Surprisingly, unlike Pelicans which will hang around for a hand out, this bird just went about his task. He often caught a lot more fish than I did.

Best Regards,  Mike

Now my friend, your bird story enlivens this image and gives the existence of such birds a wider perspective than its photo can show.

Thanks very much and all the best in further observing wild nature!

cheers

Sam
