A layered image, main images, a clematis and a fuscia, taken back in

2003 with my first Digital Camera, a Fuji S5000. When I got that

camera I also bought my first computer. I can't believe 8 years has

gone by and I still have so much to learn.

I recently got a book on Exposure written by Bryan Peterson. It is his

3rd Edition. I didn't get a chance to start reading it until last evening

and I'm finding it to be an excellent book. He seems to start at

the 'beginning', has a wonderful way of explaining things and his

writing keeps me captivated, wanting to read more. What more could

I ask for when there are many things I need to learn? (Thanks for

your visit, most sincerely, Gail)

Hi Gail,

When I first saw this image, I thought I was looking at Beetle's shell from another world.

Absolutely beautiful.

This presentation remind me decoration for Chinese new year. Strong "hot" colors and it look like dragon's mask embedded on wooden surface... Interesting and creative work! Also, thank you for your recent comment on my latest work.

Dear Gail, All of your abstracts are so creative and colorful and we can see a lot of work goes into them, and I'll dare say a lot of heart. You just keep em' coming. I agree with you about Petersons book hes good. Take care.

Kindest Regards,

Holger

Pure perfection, shapes and colors, mood and meaning! I see here the gate of hell, unusual to be shown by angel like you dear Gail, but it's art! I stuck a huge number with greatest pleasure to it! Congratulations!

Best regards!

My first impression was that it looks like a bug, then a mask. At any rate it's a good abstract and I enjoy the color.

Absolutly stunning!

At first glance I thought I could see a bit of West Coast First Nations art influence. I think the reds and black and the mask like circle in the centre conjured up that impression for me. As I looked at it a bit longer I saw what seemed like an African influence in the intense, richness of the colours and the shapes that resemble African symbols. This is such an imposing image. I can see this as a huge mural covering a wall  in an elegant, prime real estate downtown Toronto or Vancouver professional building. You keep outdoing yourself Gail. 7

As an artist, you rock!!!

Hello Linda,

Respecting you and your past/present work, this comes as a very welcomed compliment. I know you are so knowledgeable about Native Art, as well as Design and Graphics. l

I almost didn't post this image. I knew that I liked it, but would others?? It was quite involved to do, and I'd 'put it away' a few times over the last year. Sometimes it's just better to leave it alone, and come back to it and see if you are ready to 'work more' on the composition.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words, truly appreciate your Positive Feedback.

Kindest regards, Gail
