I prepared this for a self-portraiture photo contest. Thanks very much for any

comments and suggestions for improvement! :)

Hi Scott,

This is a very well conceived idea.

The diffraction through the water bubbles adds a nice refraction effect, adding to the surrounding color.

I am pleased to see the results obtained from using the Canon PowerShot D10 underwater camera.

It is a sign of progress when a camera costing a few hundred dollars can do this work, as I can recall using the very expensive underwater Nikonous film camera with its lens selection (1960's-1980's) for underwater work.

Best Regards,  Mike

I am looking at this smiling. It is a very interesting and original photograph. I think what Mike has said says it all. I just thought it would be rude to say nothing.

A fine shot.

Thanks gentlemen for the comments. Mike... I've been very impressed with the D10. It probably wouldn't compare to the equipment you've used, but for casual use in shallow water (where there's lots of light), it works great. It's supposedly rated to 30 feet, but at that depth you'd need some external lighting, I'm sure.

Cheers,

Scott
