Quite a common scene: A man stands on a wall on the banks of a river in the winter. Nothing extraordinary here. It's only when we notice what he is looking at that the mystery deepens. The angle of the shot, which is the only sensible vantage point from which you could tell the tale, is testament to your subtle but intelligently plotted compositional skills.

El... Very well seen from one of your favorite vantage points. As said, a good street shot made excellent by the submerged boat. Thanks for sharing... Mike

El, admirable image. I like the composition, tonal contrast and the faint glimpse of the sunken boat,Is it snow on the foreground? Was the boat lost & found? Excuse me for too my questions & my curiosity. 7.

Hola El.

Esta imagen es quizás el final del cuento?. La composicion y el ángulo de atención es fantástico, el B/N es muy bueno. Te felicito.

Un gran, abrazo, Joaquín.

Awesome composition: the symmetry of snow heaps and the (solid) pier form a strong basis for the man who almost seem to emerge from it (strong side light does the trick here I suppose). The seaweed to the left forms lines that seem to join the man's gaze towards the submerged boat.

The different layers (stones and boat underwater - seaweed, pier and snow at the suface - and the man above) are tightly connected and stimulate my imagination.

To Amal:...............indeed that's snow in the fg. The boat washed down the Po river  and sank during the flood. 'Lost & found' is meant  more metaphorically.

El, the perspective on this is really nice, allowing the viewer to see the shapes of the cloud like mounds of snow. The light on the man is perfect and it does take a moment to discover what he is looking at, and once it's discovered one has to wonder what is going on with the boat. Also I like the way the light catches the grasses on the left and how their general shape echos the mounds of snow.
